Lydia Zamlynny
Grace and Lydia met when they were both completing Chemistry degrees at Acadia University. That's when they learned they had chemistry together! Since then, they have been getting ice creams and cheesecake probably too frequently (living together for a summer only made it too convenient to try every week's flavour at the Dairy Bar). Lydia is always sure to remind Matthew how good he has it with Grace and to keep him humble (like he doesn't already know how lucky he is), so it's only fitting she's also the maid of honour at Grace and Matthew's wedding.
Laura Pickett
Laura has been around with Grace since day 1... of University. After meeting at Acadia, also in Chemistry, they endured countless library sessions and emotional breakdowns together before they made it official and became roommates. Laura and Grace kept each other as sane as you can be while finishing Honours in Chemistry, but they were no strangers to causing chaos as lab partners. Everyone knew about the infamous exploding ester, and there may have been a few floods in their time. While Laura is now living it up in Europe and studying medicine in Ireland, she will return home to NS to stand by Grace as a bridesmaid since we already established she's been by Grace's side since day 1... of University.

Best Man
Eric Boudreau
Eric and Matthew met in high school and were in almost every class together until they finished mechanical engineering. While at Acadia University they studied, built a skewb solving robot, studied, grew plants in the basement of the science building (don’t worry, just basil), and studied some more, but they always made time for a Real Scoop ice cream break. Once they transferred to Dalhousie University they realized it can get worse and would often go on midnight walks to clear their minds. Eric decided he somehow didn’t suffer enough in their undergrad and continued on to do his Masters degree in computational fluid dynamics. Seemingly Eric hasn’t gotten sick of Matthew’s company yet, so surely he can handle one more day where he will stand as the best man in Matthew’s wedding.
Josh Ben
Josh and Matthew have been walking side by side straight into the woods since the beginning of time (+ or - a couple of years). Through Scouts, they have travelled to Alberta, Japan, Hong Kong, and went on more outdoor camping trips than you could count. Today, they are basically still doing the same thing, except instead of long hikes and sleeping in a lean-to during the middle of winter, they take a casual stroll to a well-isolated cabin where the wood stove gets so hot they need to step outside to cool off. Josh is Matthew’s longest friend, and it’s only natural that he stands with Matthew as a groomsman on his wedding day.
